Chef Sarah
Meet the driving force behind The Carolina Chef, our head chef, Sarah. From a young age, Sarah's playground was the kitchen, where she honed her skills in kneading biscuits and baking sweets with her family. This early love for food led her to pursue a career in culinary arts. She earned her business degree with a concentration in culinary arts and furthered her expertise in baking and pastry at the Culinary Institute of Charleston.
Throughout her culinary journey, Sarah has gathered hands-on experience, perfecting everything from pecan pie at Magnolia's to crafting pastries and designing wedding cakes on Kiawah Island. However, her true calling emerged when she transitioned from restaurant and corporate kitchens to becoming a personal chef.
Today, Sarah's joy lies in creating local, seasonal meals that offer a personal touch, helping families and friends forge lasting memories in the heart of their own kitchens. She is known for her expertise in working with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, which she elevates with bold, globally inspired flavors creating vibrant, modern dishes.
In addition to her culinary talent, Sarah brings a thoughtfully curated approach to the entire dining experience. She pairs beautifully plated meals with intentional, elegant table settings that reflect each client’s unique vision. With a strong focus on hospitality, detail, and personalization, Sarah creates experiences that are as visually stunning as they are delicious, making every gathering feel truly special. Chef Alex
Meet Chef Alex, he brings a rich culinary background and heartfelt passion to The Carolina Chef team, shaped by years of experience across prestigious country clubs from Florida to Maine. As both a seasoned professional bartender and personal chef, he blends back-of-house expertise with front-of-house finesse to craft seamless, memorable dining experiences.
A graduate of the Advanced Culinary Program at the Culinary Institute of Charleston, Alex also holds a Baking and Pastry Certificate and is ServSafe Allergen certified, demonstrating his versatility, attention to detail, and strong commitment to food safety and inclusive dining.
Known for transforming dietary restrictions into creative inspiration, Alex is well versed in gluten-free, vegan, and other tailored cuisines. His goal is simple: make every guest feel seen, satisfied, and celebrated.
Guided by the mantra “love what you do,” Alex infuses every dish with passion, precision, and a signature sense of style. His global travels continue to influence his cooking, bringing vibrant flavors and fresh ideas back to the Lowcountry.
